Mavrolia (black olive) is a unique cultivar from a circumscribed area in the west of Messenia. Around the town of Pyrgos, where Galanis oil is born, olive cultivation is limited. The trees are tall, the foliage is silvery and the fruit is black when harvestes, just as it is represented on ancient vases. Nearby is the ancient palace of King Nestor. The oil has a golden green color, a freshly squeezed olive aroma, with a substantial and substantial flavor which, from an initially sweet tone, changes to bitter and, finally, to spicy. It has an acidity that varies between 0.2% and 0.4%.
Excellent for cooking red meats, flavoring raw white meats and fish, perfect raw on a bruschetta. The green bottle preserves the durability and quality of the product.
